Doc Update

I went to the doctor on Monday for our check up and everything is looking good. She said that everything is right where it needs to be, my weight, my blood pressure, and Emery looks great! She said that she couldnt be happier with the way things are progressing. That was great news to hear:) We than talked about Epidurals and my options for them as far as that goes and some basic facts about them. We also talked about the Swine Flu shot that I was supposed to be getting but her office only recieved 50 of them so I have to see if I can find a place on my own to get it. I am thinking that this might be impossible but we will see. I go back in two weeks, Nov 10th.
I cant believe how far along we are in this pregnancy and how soon we will get to meet you Emery. You are all we talk and think about! You are going to be a great joy in our lives and we cant wait for everything that you have in store for us. We know it will be an awesome ride!
We love you sweat pea!

Baby Shower

We had our very first Baby Shower for Emery on Saturday. Meagan and Kristi did a wonderful job putting everything together, I couldn't have asked for a better shower, Thanks you guys!

Emery sure did get a lot of stuff at her shower. We got almost all of our big stuff off our registry and we couldn't have been happier. We got our swing, car seat, jumparoo, and pack and play! Emery got some of the cutest clothes and various other necessities. She now has a ton of wash clothes, towels, socks, headbands, blankets, and hangers! We are so glad that we received all of these wonderful presents and are glad to know that so many people care for her already!

I don't have very many pictures, I actually had to beg these people to take pictures with me surprisingly. It normally is the other way around! No one really wanted their picture taken with the mommy to be:( I didnt get any with Casey's Mom or his Grandma. These are the ones I do have and am hoping to get more from Meagan. Thanks again to everyone that came! We love you all! ( I wish that I looked better in these) Now I remember why I dont take pictures!

30 Weeks

Your baby continues to grow and develop inside of you. Measuring 15.7 inches long, she weighs 3 lbs. She now almost fills up your entire uterine cavity and her arms and legs have grown much plumper, thanks to the continued growth of subcutaneous fat.
By 30 weeks, her eyelids open and close. She'll keep her eyes closed for most of the day though. When her eyes are open, she will be able to track light inside of your womb, though her vision isn't "perfect" or 20/20. Lunago, or fine hair that once covered her body, will start falling off this week.
In the coming weeks, the volume of amniotic fluid in your belly will decrease as your baby continues to gain weight and take up more space.

It is getting harder for me to bend down and pick things up, it is possible but pretty uncomfortable at this point. My feet are starting to hurt more and more the longer I am on them, so my shopping has been limited to a few stores at a time:(
We go to the doctor today and I will update about the doctor and our Fabulous Baby shower we had this past weekend!

29 Weeks! Only 10 more to go!

Your baby continues to grow and develop inside of you. Measuring 15 inches long, she weighs 2 1/2 lbs. For the first time, her head is in proportion with the rest of her body!
By 29 weeks, her brain can control her body's temperature. Her eyes can move in his sockets and her muscles and lungs continue to mature. Her bone marrow is now producing red blood cells and fat continues to develop under her skin.

We are so excited that we are getting closer to meeting our daughter. Time has gone by so fast! We cant wait to hold her and love on her! Only 10 more weeks Emery and we will get to see your sweet face and love you to pieces! (more than we already do now)

I Passed! And one more healed Arm!

On Wednesday of last week I had to go back into the doctor to do my 3 hour glucose test. Casey and I got to the doctor's office at 8 to start the long wait ahead. I finally went back and she took blood out of my left arm and than gave me a choice between orange and fruit punch to drink that had a ton of sugar in it. I chose Orange again. It really wasnt that bad until I got to the end and I just didnt think I could finish it. She then told me to go wait in the waiting room and come back in an hour at 9:45 to take my blood again. I wasnt allowed to drink or eat anything since the night before and I was so hungry! I did this same routine 3 more times until 11:45. Casey and I occupied our time in the waiting room reading magazines and I updated my journal in between reading. We were so bored and hungry, becuase like a good husband he didnt eat anything either:) I minute I got to leave the office I ate a package of peanut butter crackers that I had brought from home and they tasted soooo good! I had to leave to go to work and Casey went home before his doctor's visit.
His apt was at 2:00 to get his "cast" off and to get some exercises to do for his hand. His apt lasted all of 5 minutes. Both hands are healing really well. He continues to do his exercises to get them stronger, and it seems to be working. We cant wait for them to heal completely so he can do simple tasks around the house, like mowing the yard!

At 4 o'clock Dr. Bradford's nurse called me to tell me that I passed my test! I knew that is what she was going to say because she sounded completely different from the last time she called me to tell me she failed! I was so excited when I heard her say it. I immediately called Casey and told him and than text everyone else to let them know. I couldnt imagine going through the holidays with out sweets:) and I am so glad that know I dont have too!
Thanks to everyone who prayed for Emery and I! It worked and we can have sugar:)

Doc Appt and One Failed Test

Yesterday I had my monthly doctor's appointment for my glucose test. I had to drink an orange drink that tasted like watered down Sunkist, which wasn't that bad at all. Than we headed to the doctor to wait for an hour until she could take my blood. While we were waiting we saw the doctor and talked about having Emery at the end of December, since our Insurance is going to change starting Jan 1st. Casey's job is getting rid of United Health Care and we will have Blue Cross Blue Shield, which isn't a bad insurance to have at all but it doesn't cover some of our doctors. So Ms. Emery will be a December baby for sure! Yay! We only have 11 more weeks to go:) We left the doctors office and met Denise for brunch at IHOP, which is always fun to catch up with her! We then ran some errands the rest of the day. I got my call at around 4 that I had failed my glucose test and I have to go back on Wednesday to take a 3 hour test, which I have heard isn't any fun. I dont know if I will last that long with out eating:( Oh well, I have to do it either way and it is whats best for Emery. I am really praying that I will pass this 3 hour test, I really don't want to have gestational diabetes, but I have a feeling deep down that I will. I will have to change my diet and start exercising more. I am hoping that is isn't going to be a big baby!

28 Weeks!

At about 2 pounds 4 ounces and 13.8 inches from head to toe, your baby has certainly come a long way!
This week marks an important milestone for your baby's brain development. Until now the surface of your baby's developing brain was smooth. During this week, her brain begins to form its characteristic grooves and indentations, allowing the brain’s surface to expand while it develops within your baby's tiny skull.
Other important developmental advances:
More fat. Your baby will continue to add layers of fat under her skin and will become plumper with each passing day.
More hair. Hair on your baby's head will continue to grow.
Lungs. Her lungs are now capable of breathing air.

27 Weeks

You've reached trimester three!
Your baby continues to grow and develop inside of you. Measuring about 14.5 inches long, she weighs just about 2 lbs.
This week, her brain is developing quickly. Her eyelids, which have remained closed up until this point, begin to open and now his retinas can begin to form. The retina contains specialized photoreceptor cells that respond to light, called rods and cones. Cones in particular help us perceive color.
Her skin is still wrinkly but by 27 weeks, she basically looks how she will look when you give birth to her, in just a couple of months!

Casey's Next Wrist Surgery

Casey will have is next wrist surgery on Wednesday, Oct 7Th. We aren't sure of the time yet. But are really glad that the doctor has decided to go ahead and do his other hand. We are hoping this surgery goes as smoothly as the last with no pain and an easy recovery. We are ready to get this behind us and get Casey back to work to make us some money again, it has been rough with just my income since I still have to go to all my doctors apts and to his. We are almost there though.
This week will be a busy one for us with the surgery on Wednesday and we have our 4D sonogram on Saturday and we also are throwing a lingerie shower on Saturday as well so needless to say this week I will be busy cleaning and setting up for that, while I am also taking care of Casey and his wrist!

Emery's 4 D Sonogram!

Saturday morning, Oct 3rd we met up with Denise and Deana for Breakfast at MiMi's before we went to our sonogram apt at 10:45. I had some eggs, sausage and the best waffles ever! I wasn't feeling that well because I had a really sore throat for two days now and I was really tired from the lack of sleep I havent been getting. It was a great breakfast and we had fun catching up. Once we were done with breakfast we headed over to our apt and ready to see our sweet Emery! Well, she had other plans for us. This child is so stubborn, and I cant figure out where she gets it from! Haha! I has to be from her dad! She was literally bent in half with her legs straight over her face and with one arm holding her legs. She wasn't budging at all, so we didn't get to see any of her face, just her bottom and her legs. She is definitely still a girl, which is great news. Needless to say I left really disappointed. My girl is not a morning person at all, she gets that from me:) She will be a night owl like her daddy I am thinking because she moves the most at night, right around 9 to 10. So we had to reschedule our apt for this Saturday at 11:30, and I am praying that we will get to see what she looks like, and who's features she has. I would love to show you pictures but we didn't get any! I am hoping to have the best 4D soon pictures ever on Saturday!
Miss Emery, please let your daddy and I see what you look like! We love you even though you are stubborn as a mule:)!

Deana got Emery some of the cutest clothes, she got them all on sale and that was the best part. She got her like 10 outfits that varied in sizes, and were so sweet! I know that Emery will enjoy wearing them, Thanks Deana!

Denise brought me my Colst Maternity Shirt, that she got me for my Birthday and some pink house slippers to wear to the hospital. They are so comfy and warm! Thanks, Denise!
