Our Georgia Peach!

Time to celebrate the beginning of my second trimester! It feels so good to be making progress—I can check the first trimester off my list (two more to go).

Week 13 marks a milestone for your baby-to-be. Developmentally speaking she's no longer an embryo, but a fetus. She's looking—and acting—more and more like a baby every day. She appears to be resting because her eyelids have formed and are fused together, but her arms and legs move and twitch (although you probably can't feel it … yet). She can suck her thumb, too.

Your baby is about the size of a Peach! She's growing heavier at around .5 to .7 ounces and is getting longer at about three inches long (crown to rump).

It seems that now that I am in my second trimester, I am more tired than I was in the first! It probably is due to the fact that I cant sleep at night. I cant get comfortable and my arms have started to go to sleep on my no matter what position they are in, so I wake up about every hour on top of the times I have to go to the restroom. Otherwise, everything else is going really well. I still don't have a belly yet, everyone seems to very anxious for this, but trust me it is definitely coming!
This weekend was really uneventful. Casey worked till about 9 p.m. this weekend so it was just me by myself! I do have to say that I do enjoy having some alone time, I am not that interesting and I am getting bored with myself!! Ha ha! I cleaned the house on Saturday and that was pretty much the most eventful thing I did all day long. Sunday, I went and got my toes done and then picked Reese up from my Mom's and headed back home to watch TV. I really wanted to do something outside this weekend, like my flower beds but it is so stinking hot!

Also, I have decided that I wont be putting up pictures of my belly on the blog, it is all to overwhelming for me and I figure if you read my blog than you know me, and in that instance you probably see me on a regular basis, so you can see it for yourself. I might do milestone pics, but I wouldn't hold your breath if I were you!

12 weeks!

The end of the first trimester marks an important step for your baby-to-be. (This is debatable if this is the end of the first trimester). All of her major body systems are in place. In her digestive system, her small intestine is no longer entwined with the umbilical cord, but instead is tucked neatly within the abdomen. Her nervous system continues to develop, and her brain's structure is fully formed. Many of her organs are starting to work on their own, too. For instance, her thyroid begins to secrete hormones. Next week she'll no longer be considered an embryo, but instead graduates into a fetus. She's already looking more and more like the baby you're probably imagining—she even has tiny fingernails. At 12 weeks, your baby weighs in around 1.5 ounces and measures about three inches in length (from crown to rump), about the size of a plum!

Everyone is asking me if I have gained any weight and if I am showing yet. Well I haven't gained much weight at all and I do have a little tummy. My jeans still fit, I can zip them up but not button them, thank gosh for rubber bands! I do need to go shopping for other things that are getting to small, I just don't really have the energy yet! I am still hoping that this will come back really soon! I know Casey is tired of me saying how tired I am all the time. I did get my results back from my first apptointment regarding the tests that they took and it said that everything so far looked good. We are just waiting on our doc apptointment on the 7Th!

Father-to-be Father's Day

Casey had a really good Father-to-be Father's Day yesterday. We have decided that we want to replace all of our linoleum in our house with tile. This is a big under taking if you have seen our house. We are just going to do a little bit at a time, other wise we would go broke and probably kill each other! Haha! Since neither of us have ever put in tile, we needed a little bit of help from my step dad. So on Sunday they decided that they would start the project after breakfast. For father's day from me, Casey got a waffle maker and we made waffles, eggs, bacon, and sausage for breakfast. There are very few things that make Casey happier than waffles! I wish you could see his face when he even talks about them, it is hysterical. Like a kid in a candy store but waffles instead. It didn't take them that long to cut and lay the tile, since the space is really small. So after we cleaned up the tile mess, Casey wanted to watch the US open all day long. We watched that till dinner time. Casey got the cutest baby outfit from my parents that says My Daddy loves me, and he got a 365 days of baseball book. He loved the book so much he is already half way finished! If I could only get him to read other books this fast. Then we all had dinner, my mom's famous tacos! They were a perfect ending to the day. Then we all just went on the back patio and hung out and talked for a while. After everyone went home, we went for a walk around the neighborhood with Reese. Watched Army Wives and went to bed! We had a pretty productive Father's Day!
Hope everyone else had a great Father's Day!

11 Weeks

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a small lime, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccuping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

Casey and I are getting really excited about meeting you! We cant wait to start painting your room and getting it all ready for you! We do have things picked out for whatever gender you maybe! We cant wait to meet y0u!

Casey's 29th Birthday!

I just cant believe that my husband is 29! I never refer to him as 29 because I really have a hard time believing it. I am sure because there are times when he doesn't act that "old" and there are other times when I look at him he doesn't look it!

Happy Birthday Honey!

I have to say that Casey was no dummy when he said that he wanted us to get married the day after his birthday! He knew exactly what he was doing, and naive me just thought that he was doing it so he would never forget the date! Oh that wasn't it at all! He did it so he could always be on vacation on his birthday! He is definitely SMRT! (that is off of the Simpson's for those of you that think I misspelled it). So before we left for Padre, Casey got his birthday gift and we went our favorite restaurant that we only save for special occasions The Keg! I must say that it didnt disappoint us! It was really Yummy!

Casey got a Worx GT for his birthday. After watching a million infomercials we came across this one for a weeder and edger in one. Casey really wanted to order it off the TV but I suggested that we look for a cheaper price. So that is what he got. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong one so he will have to take it back to Sears and get the one he wants. There is a reason why men do the lawn, right?!?

Then on his actual birthday we decided that we wanted to be beach bums all day long, so we just laid on the beach all day long and enjoyed the ocean and each others company!

Hope you had a great Birthday Honey! I love you!

10 Weeks!

Week 10 marks a milestone for your baby-to-be. This first part of fetal development is all about organization. All your baby-to-be's cells have been directed to their places—brain tissue is growing rapidly, muscles are forming, fingers and toes are becoming defined. Your baby-to-be looks less like an embryo (or an alien) and more like the baby in miniature that he is. He's getting bigger, too. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will too.)
I am still not feeling that great but I am getting through it! I have to say that Casey is so good about doing things for me and helping out when I am not feeling well! I am ready to start having more energy too! I am hoping it is just a few short weeks away! Yesterday I had my first throwing up episode on the side of the road! It wasn't very pleasant but Casey pulled over just in time!
I went to my first OB visit today with our new doctor and I really like her! Everyone at the office was really nice and helpful! They gave me a huge goodie bag full of neat things, I cant wait to go home and look through it all! I got to hear the heart beat again and it was still fast and healthy:)
She wants me only take half of my Zofran (meds for nauseous) and I am really nervous about that because I really don't want to be up all night long again throwing up but we will see! Also, I will stop taking my Metformin ( the meds that got us pregnant) today. So I will be down to taking 3 pills instead of six, which I am excited about. We have our next doctors appointment on July 7th.
I owe some of you belly pictures that I haven't even taken yet, and it is hard to when you are by yourself all the time. I will see what I can do but no promises sorry! I will update about our weekend a little later, so stay tuned!
